Weedy Seadragon - Medium Platter Slight Seconds
This medium platter depicts a Weedy Seadragon (Phyllopteryx taeniolatus). It is a superbly camouflaged fish, related to the seahorse, and occurs in kelp-covered rocky reefs. It is endemic to the Great Southern Reef.
The platter is handmade with Australian porcelain and hand painted with watercolour-like underglazes. This platter is listed as a second because of a small and odd discolouration next to the snout of the seadragon. It is fully functional and can we washed in the dishwasher, though I would recommend not putting in the microwave or oven as the abrupt changes in temperature might crack the clay.
The platter measures 28cm long, 19cm wide and about 2cm high and comes in its own recycled cardboard gift box. This is a listing for the product in the picture.
By purchasing this item, we will contribute to Carbon Positive Australia’s carbon sequestration projects by planting one native tree or shrub in Australia.
