Araceli delivers in-person workshops where she teaches underglaze painting techniques and participants learn about the species they paint.

Classes take place at our brand new studio, the Coconut Crab, designed by award-winning Alexander Symes Architects, in Dulwich Hill, Sydney. During the class, Araceli shares all the tricks and techniques she has mastered over the 12 years + she has been making and painting ceramics. She also explains curious and interesting facts about the species painted.

During 2024, the studio is holding special monthly art & natural history workshops where a marine biologist/ecologist or scientist is in attendance, sharing their knowledge about the species as everyone paints it. Whilst these species will be painted in future classes and run solely by Araceli, it’s very special to attend a class with an expert in the room. All new workshop details are always emailed to recipients of our Studio Newsletter first, around one month before they take place.

Participants are given one of Casa Adams signature medium platters bisqued, with a species already monoprinted and ready to be painted. All materials, as well as a delicious morning (or afternoon) tea, are included. The platters are then glazed and fired in the studio and ready for collection approximately one week after. No previous experience needed! The class is approximately 3-4 hours long.

Please note that if you have purchased a spot in an upcoming class, you will only get a full refund up to one week before the class date if you need to cancel.
