Who is Araceli Robledo Adams?
Araceli Robledo Adams runs the ceramics studio Casa Adams Fine Wares out of her award-winning studio in Dulwich Hill, where she makes hand-painted porcelain tableware. She holds a BA in English, an MA in Marketing and a Diploma of Ceramics (with Distinction). Araceli's work has been featured in The World of Interiors, Home Beautiful, Coastal Living, House & Garden Australia and Gourmet Traveller among others.
With shop updates sold out within minutes and a client base that spans the world, Araceli's success is anything but random or overnight. She comes from a family of artists, holds a Master's Degree in marketing management from a top 10 global business school and worked in marketing for over 15 years before becoming a full time ceramicist.
Casa Adams' designs are inspired by Australia’s rich biodiversity, with the aim to recreate the wonder and curiosity felt by naturalists during the Age of Discovery. As the climate changes and more natural habitat is lost, Araceli hopes her works elicit the same wonder and joy, so we may be more inclined to value and preserve what we have.
In this presentation you will;
Hear about Araceli's journey from legal marketing to ceramics.
Learn how to establish a ceramics brand, including how to weave in storytelling in your online presence, ie website and social media.
Discover how to take professional photographs with a wow factor.
Think about how to prepare a business plan to keep you on track (with Araceli's plan for reference).
Consider the financials involved in being a commercial ceramicist, from structuring your week to how much income you can expect as well as your pricing strategy.
Learn how to "go to market" and put your work out there, from setting up email lists to reaching out to retailers.
Learn how Araceli monoprints her illustrations on to her pieces and a short demo of how she paints with underglazes.
What's Included;
Handout with key learnings.
Blank business plan template.
What to bring;
